A day at the Canadian Food for Children

As part of our outreach programs, our Grade 6 students visited the CFFC Penticton centre last week as part of their World Poverty and Inequality Unit. They were challenged to think about ways to work together to help those less fortunate. After a presentation the students headed to the centre where volunteers guided them through a range of stations to sort, repair, package and make ready to ship supplies to people in need in designated countries.

A big thank you to our Holy Cross families for their donation of school supplies for the Backpack Project!

CFFC operates through community donations and thanks all community donors. The CFFC always welcomes volunteers. To drop off donations and learn about volunteer opportunities visit the CFFC Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm. To learn more visit: http://www.canadianfoodforchildren.ca
