On s’amuse tout en apprenant

Our students recently learned about Mardi Gras, a festive day celebrated in France on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, which marks the close of the pre-Lenten season. This is a time of eating, drinking, and merriness before Lent that involves multiple weekends of parades, elaborate masks, and plenty of brightly coloured confetti. Students enjoyed pretending they were part of the festivities and designed their own masks using their creative flair. Madame Saina’s French classes are more than just learning a new language, it’s about learning about new cultures, lifestyles, attitudes, and ways of thinking.
